Well, the 88 GT engine is pretty complete for the moment. I will take some pictures tomorrow and post them. I thought I would write up a short update on some of the things I came across during this build.
Going into the rebuild, I was pretty sure I had a gasket leak on passenger side. I pulled the engine apart and realized that what I had was actually a broken head bolt. Also found a lot of carbon build up. The engine was pretty dirty as you can see below. Cleaned it all up. So far I added:
GT40 Heads
Cobra Upper & Lower
65mm BBK TB
73mm SummitRacing MAF
Accel injectors
BBK Shorty Headers
E3 plugs
Mishimoto Radiator
As for the exterior I swapped out the euro tail lights with LX, replaced the front headlights, and replaced the rims and tires with 17x9 saleens 255/40/17 front 275/40/17 Nitto tires 17x9. Had to use rack limiters on the front to prevent rubbing.

Stripped the interior, custom dashboard, engine almost complete but still needs larger fuel injectors, a dyno and tune. Sounds pretty good regardless.
I just put on some new rims. 17 x 9" all around, 255/40 in the front and 275/40 in the back with Nitto Tires. Installed rack limiters to avoid rubbing.
